The Council of UC Staff Assemblies (CUCSA) Engagement Survey is a pulse survey that is conducted every three years to measure policy covered staffs “involvement with, commitment to, and satisfaction with work”. On January 12, 2016, Staff Assembly and Human Resources presented the results of the 2015 Engagement Survey at a town hall. Over 400 people attended and participated in an interactive section where they were asked to provide feedback on items such as what areas were most important to them and the preferred methods for keeping the campus up to date on the progress made.
Towers Watson, the company who administered the survey, identified the areas of Career Development, Performance Management, and Working Relationships as our campuses key drivers. These three key drivers are areas where focused efforts can significantly contribute to increased sustainable engagement. An Engagement Survey Workgroup has been formed with representatives from the four staff groups: Staff Assembly, Chancellor’s Staff Advisory Council (CSAC), Academic Business Officers Group (ABOG), and Professional Women’s Association (PWA). This workgroup will develop an action plan and, in collaboration with other campus entities, work towards improving engagement on our campus. We will keep you posted on our efforts as we move forward.
